Benefits Vacuum Formed Packaging

When choosing a solution for manufacturing packaging for your products, vacuum forming may be the best option for you for a variety of reasons.

Cost Effective

Vacuum forming is a cost effective way to mass produce various types of plastic components, including consumer packaging. By using a precise moulding process and tailoring the mould around your product, costs can be greatly reduced as less plastic is required and consequently less waste. This is not only good for your pocket but the environment too.

Ansini customers can also benefit from low volume start-ups, low-cost tooling, high-volume production capability and low-cost manual assembly.

Versatile

The versatility of manufacturing vacuum formed plastic packaging means that the process is suitable for an extensive range of packaging styles and materials. We are able to manufacture consumer packaging using a variety of materials including PVC and HIPS, as well as a wide range of vacuum formed inserts.

Types of Vacuum Formed Packaging We Produce

We produce a wide range of plastic packaging including clamshell packaging and vacuum formed blister packaging. However, we are able to produce many more types of packaging to suit your precise needs and requirements, some more examples include:

Consumer Packaging

Cold seal blister packaging

  • Cold seal blister packaging is suitable for heat sensitive medications and products, or when the use of a heat sealer is not practical. Vacuum formed blister packaging is most recognised as medication packaging and allows for its contents to be stored securely and in an organised manner. An advantage of cold seal blister packaging is that it’s more considerable to the environment, as no heat is required to create this form of packaging.

Clamshell packaging

  • For smaller and more delicate items, rigid packaging can be useful to protect and secure its contents. As clamshell packaging manufacturers, we can guarantee that our packaging will completely enclose the product and hold it in place, preventing any damage. Furthermore, clamshell packaging can be heat sealed to make them even more secure, this can be useful for high value items and hazardous items such as scissors, knives and multi tools. Clamshell packaging is a very durable form of packaging, offering extra protection for the products it contains. Furthermore, clamshell packaging can also be recycled, so you can package up contents more than once.

Plastic transit trays

  • Transit trays can be used for all products, regardless of shape or size. They securely hold the contents in place to prevent damage. These lightweight trays add minimal weight to your overall packaging but ensure the contents will be held in place throughout transit, commonly protecting products such as electronics and electrical equipment. Plastic transit trays are moulded to your products requirements and will provide a professional feel and appearance to your overall packaging, whilst also remaining lightweight so you won’t have to worry about a heavy load.

Plastic box inserts

  • Similar to plastic transit trays, box inserts are moulded to your products specifications and will securely hold your product in place. Our plastic formed inserts can be used for a range of products such as cosmetic and beauty packaging, medical packaging and for electrical equipment. They are a lightweight solution and provide an effective solution to your packaging.

Point of purchase trays

  • Point of purchase trays are a great promotional tool and allow for you to place your products in key areas such as checkouts. Our vacuum formed point of purchase trays are designed to your exact measurements and securely hold your products in place whilst promoting their benefits to customers. Point of purchase trays are designed so that when the product is removed, the plastic won’t damage. This product is an extremely effective marketing tool that is also cost-efficient as our point of purchase trays can promote your products in the final moments of your customers shopping journey.

Shelf-ready packaging trays

  • Shelf ready packaging trays are designed to securely hold and promote your products on the shelves of your store. These trays can feature a slick design that will maximise the space you have available and allow you to display more products. They will also not break or damage once products are removed or placed back. This type of vacuum formed packaging is a great marketing tool, portraying a large number of products to your audience, and increase the level of stock that you can hold.

Whilst we predominantly manufacture plastic vacuum formed packaging for the medical sector, we can also take our expertise and apply this to the beauty and cosmetics industry to create plastic box inserts for use in consumer packaging and giftware.

Why Choose Ansini?

Minimising Waste Costs

Spiral Trees with Recycle Logo in Forefront100% of all waste plastic generated at Ansini is recycled. As we are plastic packaging manufacturers who are able to minimise material waste costs, we can offer you even more competitive rates – with no need to pay for anything that ends up in the recycling bin.

Reflecting our innovative approach to both lean manufacturing and environmental issues, a proportion of the waste plastic we produce is converted into Ansini Spiral Tree Guards, which protect vulnerable saplings from pests and systemic herbicides.

Make to Print

Make to print plastic components are where they are designed, materials specified and tested by your company. The supplier only becomes involved solely to manufacture the products to the specification requested and will have no other input on the design or testing of the plastic components.

The make to print process is suitable for a variety of plastic parts which can range from small mass produced pieces to larger, more unique projects. Our make to print parts can be manufactured through the vacuum forming or thermoplastic forming process.

Furthermore, our make to print plastic components are finished to a high standard by one of our eight, industry-leading, Maka 5 Axis CNC machines which can meet even the most complex machining and trimming requirements.
